This is always our family's favorite restaurant in Tri-city area. Whenever I want to skip cooking at home, we'd like to come here. For years, we stick with the same orders.: Pork bone soup, bulgogi in hot stone bowl and pork cutlet. I noticed their prices have been keeping on going up, but still the most reasonable in our area. I like their sides too, which have been cut from 5 dishes down to 4, now 3. But still no complains since they were generous before and always gave refills if we asked for. Recently we started to like their bibimbap. Their cooking is good and food is tasty and homey especially in the cold winter, very filling and satisfying.

Despite having visited this location many times with friends & families, even recommended them to friends - I have yet to review it. So here's a much deserved review. The food is exceptional, have a homemade flavour to it and the atmosphere makes you feel like you are in a family-run restaurant. The soondobu, pork bone soup, soondaeguk, gopchang are all amazing. Comes out piping hot, fresh, and rich. Warm the soul on a rainy vancouver day. I also used to buy the frozen soondae and housemade kimchi, which are amazing and very authentic.

Seafood Tofu soup is one of the best kept secret in Port Coquitlam. Haven't been here for a few years but the quality of food is always consistent. Highly recommended for Korean or non Korean speaking clients to try out. You will never regret. It is convenient located next to Husky gas station. Coming through RALEIGH Street is the best way in.

If you’re looking for authentic Korean soup and fresh ingredients, this is the place. I’ve been here 3 times so far and it just gets better. Authentic handmade mandu (steamed dumplings) and fall off the bone pork back bone soup with a deep flavourful broth- this soup is what Tongileo is known for so I highly recommend it - you’ll be hooked! The side dishes are fantastic as well…very fresh. Overall 5 stars and highly recommended.

My first visit was 2023 and really enjoyed their backbone soup with tofu. I decided to revisit a few evenings ago and did a walk in but it was too close to closing time and they were out of backbone soup. So tonight I phoned ahead. I had accidentally ordered the basic backbone soup which doesn't come with tofu :( But it was still delicious. The soup was spicy, hot, energizing and delicious. I loved that the soup came with sticky rice and three different condiments I ordered and additional bowl of rice. Total came to 20 CDN. I recommend this place.

Once in a while, our small family of 3 eat there. Me(Korean), my daughter and my husband(Canadian). The ladies who work there are always nice to us, always greet us warmly so a lot of times they remind me of my aunts or my mom. Their food is authentic, comes in generous portion size, you will leave this place full and happy tummy. They have a true Korean Imo(Aunt) restaurant vibe and today in the middle of my meal, I broke into tears as one of the ladies work there kept checking up on us, refilling our banchan multiple times and water, I thought of my mom who was in Korea and cried my eyeballs out!!(Because I felt warm) They deserve more business, I know it's not the best location but they are nice people who serve really good food. Thank you!!

My husband and I love our time there, and it was our first time there. We got want we were craving for and were satisfied. We'll be going back soon.

The atmosphere here is nothing special and does not need to be with the food they serve. This is some of the best food I have had since being in LA. I go to LA to see my Korean adopted fam and they take me for food I could not get in Vancouver. The chilled noodles brought me back the first time I tried. Kimchi pancake was crispy with a nice soft inside. I ordered way too much as the portions were large. We all enjoyed the meal and I have thanked the friend that suggested it multiple times for taking us here. Now I need to go again and just order less food.
